[OpenLayers-Dev] [BUG] Openlayers in Firefox as XHTML

Hi guys,

I am working on a meshup of Openlayers and XForms embedded into FireFox 
2.0.0.1
In oder to be able to use XForms in Firefox, the uses file has to have 
the extension ".xhtml".
If I do so, OpenLayers.Layers.Canvas doesn't work any more.
The usage of this object results in

Error: this.canvas.getContext is not a function

Proof of bug:

    * Use http://www.openlayers.org/dev/examples/canvas.html
    * Rename it to canvas.xhtml
    * Remove all stuff concerning google maps
    * remove the <!-- .. --> around your javascript
    * rename &nbsp; to X
    * make it valid xhtml

or send me a Mail and I will send you the file.
You will see, Canvas will not work  any more.

As far as I debugged the main problem is  "..this.canvas.getContext("2d").."

Any solutions available ?
