 Setting i.state is just as likely (in the future, by some programmer) as
 setting i.asdf or setting window.asdf for that matter.  Are you proposing
 that we test the properties of every variable at every scope after every
 execution?  If not, I don't see how a test for i.state is particularly
 valuable.
