Comment:

 Handlers intentionally abstract the browser event stuff away from
 controls.  It is true that some controls will want to access these events.
 I think we should handle this in a more generic way (instead of making all
 callbacks include the evt parameter).  Ticket #902 addresses this, so I'm
 marking this one as a dupe.
