 patch attached. *not tested*. Art, could you mention which versions of
 Safari you've had this problem with? This will make it easier to test that
 the fix works.

 I'm concerned with what might happen in a newer Safari if it fires the
 onclick method for a double click... need to check that we're avoiding
 double zooms.

 Yeah, just checked it. Adding this patch double-zooms in newer safaris.
 So, we'll have to be smarter about what exactly we're checking. Don't
 approve/commit please.
