Changes (by crschmidt):

  * status:  new => closed
  * resolution:  => invalid

Comment:

 Well, it means two things:

  * Not displaying in layer switcher. (This is now possible via
 displayInLayerSwitcher: false)
  * Adding a layer by default to the map, so that you could always do
 map.addMarker(), a la Google Maps.

 However, I'm less convinced this is important now -- to the extent that I
 actually think doing this would be a mistake. Adding one extra line of
 code is simply not causing users any difficulty.
