Comment:

 Element.getDimensions fails in this case. This is a relatively serious
 problem for complex page layouts in IE, I'll agree with the ticket
 creator. I think that it may be possible to get MetaCarta to investigate
 this, since it has affected our users in the past. Assigning to MC for
 now, will change back otherwise.
