 Ugh. This is so weird. I can reproduce it at your URL, but not at mine:

 Nor with a single file build against trunk.

 Nor when I download your page and point it to my copy of OpenLayers.

 Hm. Can you edit your page to point to
 http://openlayers.org/dev/lib/OpenLayers.js as the library, and see if it
 still breaks?

 I guess my verdict at this point is "I'm clueless." Something is
 different.
