 Chris, the select feature code changed quite a bit since Tim attached this
 patch. And Tim's patch has nothing to do with this ticket summary, so I'm
 very confused. What I initially described in the ticket description was
 corrected as part of a commit related to another ticket. To me, we can
 close this ticket, and Tim should open another one with the issue his
 patch relates to.
