Comment:

 some small changes to your proposed patch, seb. I am on a wimpy computer
 which is struggling just to run eclipse... if you like what i've done
 here, can you apply this patch to a fresh checkout of trunk and run tests
 on it? This is pretty critical code and I'd like to be sure all tests pass
 in both FF and IE. Cheers.
