 Layer.VirtualEarth supports Virtual Earth versions 3 & 4, but not the more
 recent v5 or v6.1.

 Microsoft are actively retiring the older Virtual Earth API versions, so
 support for the latest versions should be added.

 (I might be interested in working on this at a future date (June?) but
 simply have not got the time this month whilst I implement OpenLayers &
 MapServer on an urgent project!!)
